TSURO Trust was registered in 2002. TSURO is an abbreviation which stands for Towards Sustainable Use of Resources Organisation. It is a community based Organisation based in Chimanimani District, Manicaland province, Zimbabwe. TSURO Vision: Is empowered peaceful and united communities of Chimanimani and neighbouring districts with well sustained natural resources, healthy and food secure people as well as productive food processing initiatives and marketing businesses. TSURO operates in 21 wards of the district. It has 4 main core program areas namely: Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resources Management (SANRM), Environmental public health, Economic strengthening of smallholder farmers as well as Community development and Governance.
TSURO Trust is seeking consultancy or an evaluation team to do an end of project evaluation – baseline for its project titled: Socio-Economic Resilience of Smallholder Farmers. The project has been implemented from the year 2017 – 2020 and continued from June 2020 – 2023 funded by Brot für die Welt (Bread for the World), Germany. The evaluation is expected to assess the project implementation and appropriateness in response to the problem towards achievement of the objectives. It is intended to assess the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability, impact and success of the project. The Evaluation also identifies/documents lessons learned and makes recommendations that project partners and stakeholders might use to improve the design and implementation of other related projects and programs. The evaluation shall be used to assess the current status of the project beneficiaries in the continued project phase.

Key competences of the consultant(s)
The consultant(s) should have at least 5 years of proven experience in leading similar evaluations. The evaluator must meet the following qualifications: Possess at least a Master’s Degree in e.g. Development studies, Entrepreneurship, Public health, Monitoring & Evaluations or any other relevant experience in Agriculture, Water Sanitation and Hygiene and livelihoods; Excellent analytical and report writing skills; Sound knowledge of statistical and analytical software (s) for both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis; Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
Applicants are required to submit: A detailed technical proposal with a clear proposed methodology; A financial Proposal with estimated cost of all the activities to be done during the course of the evaluation such as transport, accommodation, taxes, fees etc; Detailed CV(s) with examples of similar work and least three traceable references; The ability to speak Shona, English and ChiNdau being an added advantage.
