Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd (Botash) is a manufacturing company located in Sua Pan which produces soda ash and salt for application across a wide range of industries. A 50/50 partnership between the Government of Botswana and a South African Company, Chlor-Alkali Holdings (Pty) Ltd. Botash Conducts all operational activities from production through to marketing and sales of soda and salt across the Southern African Region
The Company employs over 500 employees of which close to 300 are unionised. Employees and their families live in Sowa Town , about 20 km from the plant site. The town boasts of recreational facilities , which include restaurant, tennis courts, squash court, swimming pool and golf course. There is also an international English Medium pre-primary , primary and secondary school owned by the company, as well as Public primary and junior secondary schools
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates with a relevant minimum engineering degree qualification and at least 8 years post qualification experience for the following Engineering position
Vacancy : Civil Engineer (Full Time)
The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the design, development and construction of a wide range of projects of the built environment from conception through to completition as well as to maintain infrastructure such as plant structures, roads, an airport, buildings, sewage treatment plants, dams, water supply and drainage systems. The Civl Engineer will partner with operations and maintenance teams and ensure success in :
- Projects Management
- Contracts Administration
- Maintenance Management
- Leadership
- Problem solving
