Ending Child Marriages Schools Essay Competition
Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights in partnership with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary, would like to invite High School Students from forms 1, 2, 3 and 5 in Matabeland North, Matabeleland South, Midlands, Mashonaland East, Mashonaland West and Mashonaland Central provinces to participate in essay competitions on ending child marriages. Please write your essay on the following topic and answer the following questions:-
“Child Marriages, causes and effects, Towards ending Child Marriages by 2030″.
- What is the meaning of “child marriage” (10 marks)
- State and explain 5 causes of child marriages
- State and explain 5 impacts of Child marriage (20 marks)
- What strategies and laws has the government of Zimbabwe put in place to end child marriages . (20 marks)
Please send completed essay to your provincial office of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education between the 23rd – 28th of September 2022. Please write your name, age, school year , the name of your school and your province, as well as your contacy details including your telephone number and address on your essay.
