Vacancy : Accountant
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of financial statements and management accounts in compliance with statutory requirements and international accounting standards
- Preparing for and implementation of internal and external audits
- Coordinating the preparation of annual business plans , budgets and budgetary control
- Preparing weekly cash flow projections and controlling expenditure and cash flow
- Managing the general ledger ensuring correct entries
- Implements accounting controls and recommend appropriate policies and procedures
- Ensure monthly reconciliations and attending to arising issues
- Prepares payments verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
- Ensures statutory payments are made within set timelines
- Timepass funding of operational consumables
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in accounting from a recognised institution of higher learning
- At least 10 years post qualification experience with a minimum of 5 years at a similar level
- Professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
- Working knowledge of HSEQ systems and standards
