Vacancy : ACCOUNTING OFFICER
Qualifications:
- Higher National Diploma in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
- Advanced knowledge of Pastel Accounting.
- At least 5 years experience.
Skills needed:
The ideal candidate is a person that is confidential who meets all set deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process the cash book by posting all receipts and payments daily using Pastel System.
- Updates the daily cash balance book for the School Development Committees.
- Input of student data and producing invoices termly.
- Produce monthly bank reconciliation statements.
- Allocates receipts and payments to the appropriate Nominal Ledger Accounts.
- Process salaries and wages, including overtime, Leave pay, Pension, NSSA, levies and Medical Aid every month.
- Reconcile accounts in preparation for the final accounts monthly.
- Comply with Accounting procedures, institutional policies and procedures.
- Receipting and Filing.
- Assist the Accountants with budgeting and compilation of budgets including monitoring of budgets.
