Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) is the leading generator of electrical energy in Zimbabwe and supplies the bulk of the nation’s electrical power requirements from its five power stations. The company is inviting suitably qualified, motivated and experienced staff to fill the following vacancy that has arisen in Zimbabwe Power Company.

Location : Hwange

Vacancy : Accounts Clerk (1 Position) 

REF : ZPCHO 09/07/22

The Position 

The incumbent reports to the Accountant at HESCO Head Office . The Position is essential in the posting of Accounts documentation and preparing documents for payments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 O Levels including English Language and Mathematics 
  • NC or Diploma in Accounting or equivalent 
  • 3 years relevant experience 
  • A Degree is an added advantage 
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage 
Key Performance Areas 
  • Assist in Payroll costing 
  • Conducts invoice matching and initiates payment runs 
  • Prepares creditors aging analysis 
  • Files paid and unpaid invoices and ensures that all invoices processed for payment are clearly marked (stamped paid) and filed appropriately 
  • Requests and files invoices for payments made to HESCO Head Office 
  • Prepares funding request and usage returns 
  • Prepares monthly cash flow statements (cash paid/cash received report)
