Vacancy : Building Inspector
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 O`levels including English and Mathematics
- Advanced Diploma in Building /Construction /Plumbing
- journey man class 1 in carpentry , plumbing , bricklaying is an added advasntage
- Age minimum 30 years
- Clean class 4 drivers license
- 3 years working experience
- Computer literate with experience in Auto-CAD
DUTIE S AND RESPONSIBITIES
- Management of the buildinfg Inspectorate section
- Assess all building plans to ensure that comply with model building by-laws and give final approval
- Conduct building inspections to ensure that buildings under construction are in accordance with model building by-laws
- Attend to queries from residents and from building inspectors on matters concerning stand boundaries and other building matters and take appropriate action
- Serve notices to owners of illegal structures and make follow-ups to ensure compliance
- Isssue certificates of occupation for title deeds and licensing purposes
- Perform any other duties ad directed by the Director Works
