Rural Electrification Fund
Vacancy : Buyer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaises with State Procurement Board on all issues pertaining to tenders
- Checks on correctness of tender adverts
- Prepares purchase orders
- Monitors contracts with suppliers and periodically checks for consistency with delivery dates
- Maintains suppliers database
- Compares quotations and decides who to buy from
- Decides on relevant procurement and processing times to meet defined targets
Buyer QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or Equivalent
- 3 years relevant experience
- Class 4 Drivers License
- A good knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Experience with SAP is an added advantage
- Corporate membership of a professional institution
