Vacancy : Civil Engineering Technician
Reporting to the Civil Engineer, the incumbent will perfom the following duties:
Key Result Areas
- Overseeing the daily operations of the assigned section(s) and activities of subordinate staff
- Carrying out routine and periodic maintenance works of council infrastructure as per set standards
- Direct supervision of contracted works, monitoring , control of all council infrastructure projects
- Preparation of reports , budgets and work schedules for Management and public information systems
- Computer skills in CAD and MS packages
- Ability to work under pressure to deliver within tight deadlines
- Performing any other duties assigned by the Engineer
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Higher National Diploma in Civil / Water Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years experience preferably in a local Authority or similar organisational operations
- Professional membership with ZIE or ECZ will be an added advantage
