Civil Engineering Technician (Grade 9) Murewa Head Office

The Civil Engineering Technician will be under the Engineering and Technical Services Department and reporting to the Engineer.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 3 years experience preferably in a Local Authority or similar organizational operations
Membership with ZIE or ECZ will be an added advantage
A clean class 4 Driver’s license will be an added advantage
Police clearance
Must be at least 25 years of age

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for inter alia:

Supervising and monitoring project infrastructural developments within the district
Coordinating road fund projects
Ensuring maintenance of roads and manage designs
Capturing and coordinating and ensuring works with outsourced contractors
Develop bill of quantities for specific projects
Produce proposals work budgets, work schedule and reports on projects
Water design and maintenance
Sewer reticulation and maintenance at business centre, townships and council properties
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
