Mutoko Rural District Council
ENVIRONMENT TECHNICIAN (GRADE 9)
Reports to the Planning Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of all mining activities in the district.
- Participation in all agricultural exhibition.
- Create and maintain an updated database of community and commercial plantations.
- Monitor extraction and exploitation of Natural Resources and manage their sustainable utilization.
- Coordinating and managing Environmental Impact Assessments by any stakeholders within the District.
- Initiate and manage projects for greening the environment in Mutoko District.
- Drafting of appropriate by-laws and enforcement.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources /Environment or equivalent.
- At least 2 years’ experience in related field (Local Authority, EMA, Forestry Commission)
- Computer literacy.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Clean class 4 driver’ license.
