Vacancy : ICT BUSINESS LIAISON OFFICER (1 Post)
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
The position requires an individual with:-
- Bachelor of Business Studies with Computing Sciences or Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems or Marketing degree or related degree is required.
- A Marketing/business related qualification is a distinct advantage.
- Must possess strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of both technical and business terminology is required.
- Hands-on skills include developing presentation materials, chairing and facilitating meetings, and developing flow charts and data models.
- The ability to learn quickly on how work is performed within a variety of departments or functional groups, such as Procurement, Finance or Academic Registry.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to:-
- Explain the business to ICT personnel -The primary responsibility of the ICT Business Liaison is to represent the needs of the University’s business process owners to technical planning groups in ICT , and, likewise, to represent the needs of ICT to the business customers.
- Explain ICT to business users -The ICT Business Liaison also represents the needs of ICT to the business user community, helping non-technical personnel to understand technology constraints and what to expect after new hardware or software is introduced.
- Manage relationships across the university – The ICT Business Liaison shall manage relationships to keep communication channels open between business personnel and ICT staff members.
- Market of ICT services.
- Carry out market research to establish services and goods that ICT might provide to ICT stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director ICT.
