PLUMBER (GRADE 6) (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
Reports to the Civil Engineering Technician
Duties and Responsibilities
- Pipe laying and maintenance of all waterworks and sewer lines.
- Assist in water and sewer lines reticulation plans designs and interpretation.
- Borehole equipping and maintenance works across the district.
- Repairing water breaks and backfilling trenches.
- Making water and sewerage connections to the council lines.
- Plumbing in council infrastructure as specified in works orders.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Plumber Qualifications and Experience
- 5 ‘O’ levels including English Language and Mathematics.
- Should have attained a class 2 plumbing status and class 1 will be an added advantage.
- A National Certificate in Plumbing and Drain Laying,
- Have at least 2 years’ experience
- Clean class four (4) driver’s license
- Must be at least 25 years of age
