SECURITY OFFICER
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deploying Security Supervisors and Security Guards;
- Investigating (or supervising investigations) into criminal cases or violations of Institute regulations;
- Gathering and presenting evidence in criminal courts or in staff and students disciplinary hearings;
Unit administration; - Discipline;
- Training security guards;
- Investigating crime or internal contractual breaches;
- Maintaining crime database;
- Liaising with police and dockets follow up;
- Any other duties assigned by Chief Security Officer
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Security Studies or Risk Management or Police Studies or equivalent;
- 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language;
- Class 4 driver’s license is an added advantage.
- Two (2) years relevant post qualification experience;
- Experience with the rank of Assistant Inspector/Warrant Officer or Senior N.C.O and above in the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Zimbabwe National Army, Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services or other reputable security organization; and
- Honest and committed with no criminal record.
