Vacancy : Senior Elections and Training Officer

REPORTS TO: Deputy Director – Elections and Training

GRADE: 6/5

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Drafting electoral publications, gazette notices and items for ZEC magazines;
Designing ballot paper and instructional charts for electoral processes;
Initiating timeously publications of legal notices;
Proofreading nomination court papers, ballot papers, badges, user forms, and election notices;
Initiating the calculation of the number of ballot papers needed at all polling stations in an election;
Preparing stationery inventories for elections and referendum;
Identifying expenditure items for election budgets;
Keeping records of electoral publications and forms;
Drafting of a training calendar;
Coordinating performance of subordinates at the end of every year.

Senior Elections and Training Officer Qualifications/Job Specifications

A minimum of a Degree in Social Science, Project Management;
A relevant professional qualification from a recognised professional Institute;
Practical knowledge of Electoral Systems;
Computer proficiency particularly in Excel;
A minimum of 3 years electoral experience.
