Vacancy : Senior Logistics Officer

REPORTS TO: Deputy Director – Election Logistics

GRADE: 6/5

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Assisting in the preparation of election equipment and materials budgets;
Keeping the Commission’s election equipment and materials Register;
Coordinating the distribution of election equipment and materials;
Keeping the Issue Voucher and Receipt Voucher Book in safe custody;
Producing periodic reports on the state of materials in the warehouse and the general state of the warehouse;
Identifying and recommending election equipment and materials for the Board of Survey in liaison with
Administration Department;
Recommending the most appropriate methods of preserving materials and equipment;
Training personnel on how to handle stores and use of election equipment and materials;
Supervising Logistics Officers;
Conducting performance appraisals for subordinates;
Inducting new employees to the Department;
Compiling reports on any damage and destruction of election materials and equipment;
Keeping of general logistics records generated in the course of business;
Participating in the writing of annual reports;
Participating in the disposal of election material and keeping records of such;
Making procurement requests for required election materials and equipment.

Senior Logistics Officer Qualifications / Job Specifications

A degree in Transport and Logistics/ Business Studies or equivalent
Computer proficiency particularly in excel.
Exposure to public administration setups is an added advantage
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Logistics, Procurement or, Administration
Ability to work under minimum supervision and under pressure
Clean class 4 driver’s license
