Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to enable the Centre to create a pool of manpower which will be required to fill the following posts within ZESA Holdings at the National Training Centre as and when the need arises.

Job : CHEFS X 8

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

Planning and preparing all types of meals for clients
Assisting Clients with choice of meals and other services.
Developing new menus and other product offerings.
Ensuring quality meals and hygiene in keeping with set health standards
Participating in induction of new staff within the section.

Qualifications and Experience

5 ‘0’ Level passes including English Language.
A Diploma in Culinary Arts or Class 1 Chef Certificate.
4 years relevant experience.
Valid Medical Certificate
Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

Job : CLEANERS X 5

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

Cleaning of offices, corridors, public areas, rest rooms and other designated areas.
Reporting of defective facilities and cleaning equipment

Qualifications and Experience

5 ‘0’ Levels including English Language
1 Year proven and relevant experience.
Ability to work under pressure and irregular hours

Job : MESSENGERS x 5

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

Delivering all incoming and outgoing mail
Cleaning and tiding up of all conference rooms
Serving tea as per request
Photocopying of documents as required and ensuring confidentiality
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time

Qualifications and Experience

Certificate in Customer Care
5 ‘0’ Levels including English Language and Mathematics
2 Years proven and relevant experience
Ability to work under pressure and irregular hours

Job : ASSISTANT PAINTERS X 6)

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will and be responsible for:

Mixing paint.
Painting and glossing structures and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

5 ‘0’ Levels including English Language and Mathematics
Knowledge in painting
2 years relevant experience

Job : SKILLED WORKER CLASS 1 ELECTRICIAN X 2

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Repairing electrical defects at the centre.
Attending to standby generator.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

5 ‘0’ Levels including Mathematics and English Language
Skilled Worker Class 1 Certificate
3 years relevant experience

Job : KITCHEN PORTER x 5

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Washing pots, pans, cutlery crockery and all other kitchen utensils
Sweeping, mopping and polishing kitchen floors and rest rooms
Washing work tables, walls and refrigerators
Taking out garbage and disposing in incinerator area
Unloading food deliveries from the delivery bay into kitchen or stores

Qualifications and Experience

5 0 levels including English Language
2 years relevant experience

Job : Waiters x 10

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Preparing tables for meals including setting up items such as linen, silverware and glassware
Cleaning tables or counters during and after clients have finished dining
Clearing dishes and glasses from tables, counters and taking them to the kitchen for cleaning
Assisting guests and ensuring satisfaction with the food and service offered and take action to correct any problems
Delivering beverage selections to tables with appropriate glasses and pour for clients
Observing and practising health and hygiene standards when serving clients

Qualifications and Experience

A Certificate in Customer care
5 ‘0’ Levels including English Language and Mathematics
2 years relevant experience

Job : Housekeeper x 5

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Ensuring that all rooms and restrooms are thoroughly cleaned in readiness for customers
Updating the Warden on a daily basis on room status and reporting all defects.
Preparing accommodation rooms in readiness for clients
Changing water glasses and putting fresh water and beverage facilities in the rooms periodically
Ensuring all blankets, linen and curtains are clean and in good condition
Locking out rooms soon after cleaning to safeguard clients’ belongings
Cleaning of all toilets, corridors and bedrooms at the administration and hostels regularly

Qualifications and Experience

5 ‘0’ Levels including English Language
3 years relevant experience

Job : General Workers x 15

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for

Cleaning the entire complex
General housekeeping of the Centre
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications and Experience

5 ‘O’ Levels including English Language
1 year relevant experience
